University of North Carolina Family Medicine Residency
Dr. Paulus is a third-year resident physician at the University of North Carolina Family Medicine Residency Program. He received his Biology degree from Ohio Northern University and his Medical Degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (2019). Throughout medical school Dr. Paulus was very active at the state and local level in the Ohio AFP and ACOFP. He served on the Foundation Board for the Ohio AFP and was the Student Governor for the Ohio ACOFP. At the national level, Dr. Paulus was selected as a Scholar for the AAFP Foundation’s annual Emerging Leader’s Institute and was chosen as the National Student of the Year by the ACOFP. During his intern year, Dr. Paulus served on the NCAFP Foundation Board of Trustees and has served as the Resident Advocacy Liaison between the NCAFP and his residency program. Dr. Paulus has a strong interest in advocating for full-spectrum family medicine and is particularly passionate about rural health.
