Morgan Beamon is a native of Gates County, a community that lays at the crossroads of three regions: 1) the Roanoke-Chowan region 2) the Albemarle Sound region and 3) Hampton Roads Virginia. He attended UNC Chapel Hill after high school and graduated with a BA in English in 2014. He received a second bachelor’s from East Carolina in 2016, in Biochemistry. He is currently a second year at ECU’s Brody School of Medicine where he is a Medical Education and Teaching Distinction Scholar. He also serves as the Curriculum Representative for his class and the President of the Family Medicine Interest Group. Morgan hopes to attend family medicine residency followed by a Geriatrics fellowship. If he leaves Eastern NC for training after his medical school graduation (2024), he plans on returning to the region that raised him to practice comprehensive family medicine, at as full a spectrum as time and demand allows.
