As the United States faces a public health emergency with the spread of novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV (COVID-19), family doctors will be crucial to the effort. That's why the AAFP has called on congressional leaders to improve the flow and quality of information to America's leading physicians and coordinate with them to address the outbreak.
On March 2, the AAFP sent a AAFP Letter to HHS Secretary Azar urging him to consider using family physicians on the frontlines during the nation's COVID-19 response. It is urgent that Congress do the same. Join us in asking lawmakers to support essential protocols in the nation's health care response.
