Premiere CME Opportunities Planned for September & October

Wilmington area members are invited to join us for a brand new CME format, "30 Minute Exchanges - Exploring Hot Topics" on September 12th. This premiere CME dinner program will be held at the Bluewater Waterfront Grill in Wrightsville Beach from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Participants will enjoy three 30-minute sessions: Appreciating Diversity in Immigrant Health, A Primer on Human Trafficking for Family Doctors, and Opioid Use Disorder. Faculty presenters include Mayra Overstreet-Galeano, MD, Karen Isaacs, MD, Kristin Kirkland, MD, and Elizabeth Kyle, PharmD. Registration fees are $25 per person and include a light reception, a casual dinner, and an estimated 1.5 CME credits. Online registration is available now at www.ncafp.com/wilmingtoncme. When October rolls around, plan to join us in Raleigh for a terrific Ѕ Saturday CME Opportunity, "The Essentials of Managing Common Chronic Diseases in Family Medicine". Scheduled for Saturday, October 12th, at the Hampton Inn at Brier Creek from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, presentations and case studies by Dr. Nicholas Pennings, Dr. Alisa Nance, Dr. Jay Patel, and Dr. Thomas White will include effective treatments for obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia. Registration fees are $80 per person and include a continental breakfast, light refreshments, and an estimated 4.00 CME credits.
