Stephanie Wilcher, MD, MPH

Stephanie Wilcher, MD, MPH grew up in Jacksonville, NC and earned a bachelor's in biology from Queens University of Charlotte. She then worked as a lab technician in a DNA sequencing lab in Research Triangle Park. Dr. Wilcher went on to earn her doctorate in medicine from East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. While in medical school, she took a year off to earn a master's in public health with a concentration in community health and health behaviors and a graduate certificate in ethnic health and health disparities from East Carolina University. During that time, Dr. Wilcher became involved with the NCAFP through the NCAFP rural/underserved health experience program. She is currently a Family Medicine Resident with Duke Family Medicine and Community Health Rural Track and resides in Creedmoor, NC. She is married with two children, ages 8 and 3. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to local community festivals, and mentoring minorities in medicine.
