Medical students and residents who are members of the NCAFP are encouraged to submit their posters for our 33rd Annual Research Poster Presentation! The NCAFP Foundation is interested in practice-based research, but presentations may address any topic relevant to Family Medicine. Works-in-progress and case studies may also be submitted.
To be eligible to participate in this contest, applicants must be enrolled in a North Carolina Family Medicine residency program or one of the medical schools in North Carolina. Applicants must also be a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), which automatically includes NCAFP membership. Interested non-members can apply to join the Academy here.
Posters will be judged by physician members of the NCAFP and will be displayed at the Winter Family Physicians Weekend in December 2026 in Asheville, NC. Winners will be announced during the Awards Lunch at the conference! In both the Family Medicine Resident and the Medical Student categories, the best presentation will receive a $400 award, and the runner-up presentation will receive a $200 award.
Interested medical students and residents can learn more and submit posters here. They can contact me with any questions at perry@ncafp.com.
