Medical Students and Residents: Showcase Your Research at NCAFP’s Annual Research Poster Presentation!

Calling all North Carolina medical students and Family Medicine residents: your work deserves an audience!

Submissions are now open for the NCAFP Foundation’s 33rd Annual Research Poster Presentation. 

The NCAFP Foundation is interested in practice-based research, but presentations may address any topic relevant to Family Medicine. Regardless of whether their research is completed, is a compelling case study, or is even a work in progress, this contest is the chance for NC medical students and Family Medicine residents to:

• Share their ideas with family physicians from across the state
• Strengthen their CVs
• Compete for awards ($400 for first place and $200 for runner-up) in both the Medical Student and Resident categories

Posters will be judged by physician members of the NCAFP, and all accepted posters will be displayed during the 2026 NCAFP Winter Family Physicians Weekend at the Omni Grove Park Inn, Dec. 9-13. They will also appear in the conference mobile app. Winners will be announced during the Awards Lunch at the conference!

This contest is only open to NCAFP members. Interested non-members can apply to join the Academy here.

This is the chance for medical students and Family Medicine Residents to place their good research in front of North Carolina’s Family Medicine community!
