Founder and Director of the Cabarrus Sports Medicine Fellowship
Dr. Kevin Burroughs received his MD from UNC, then completed a Family Medicine residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship through the Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, NC. He is the founder and Director of the Cabarrus Sports Medicine Fellowship and the Co-Chief of Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute. Dr. Burroughs currently serves as Team Physician at Catawba College and AL Brown High School, and is the Medical Director for Athletic Training services in the Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City School System. He is a Team Physician at the NC/SC Shrine Bowl. In 2010 he was named Sports Medicine Person of the Year by the NC Athletic Trainers Association. He serves on the NC High School Athletic Association Sports Medicine Advisory Committee. Dr. Burroughs has made more than 100 state, regional and national presentations, and authored over 40 publications.
