Open NCAFP Position: Project / Grants Coordinator

Come work with a small team in great project management position for a statewide association that is a chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.  The NC Academy of Family Physicians represents 4,200 family physicians, residents, and medical students across the state.  Our mission is to improve the lives and professional environment of current and future family physicians.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in business, public policy, management, communications or related field with a minimum of two years’ experience managing projects or grants is strongly preferred. Interest in health care or health policy or nonprofit management are pluses. Strong project coordination and writing skills needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) needed. Accountability, precision, accuracy, project management, and critical thinking are required as is the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, leadership, members, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities for multiple grant-funded projects around increasing interest and supporting medical student, resident and young physician activities in NC
  • Develop and implement project timelines and manage deliverables for key grant-funded projects of the NCAFP Foundation
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of events related to the current projects
  • Coordinate meeting obligations with other staff members including scheduling presentations and other activities to be carried out by other members of the team
  • Track contact with NCAFP members involved in these projects
  • Complete regular reports to grant funders
  • Work with the NCAFP Director of Workforce Initiatives to coordinate project overlap

Salary:

Commensurate with experience. Grant supported position with funding for at least 3 years.
