The AAFP and the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors are seeking AAFP members to participate in a yearlong health equity fellowship. The Health Equity Fellowship is designed to develop family physicians into leaders who have subject matter expertise in the social, institutional, and cultural influences that impact health. Fellows will be equipped as Family Medicine leaders who can also facilitate change to improve their local communities and primary care. Through this program, fellows will also gain knowledge and experience in translating the concepts of health equity into clinical practice. NCAFP’s Dr. Karen Isaacs, MPH, recently completed the fellowship experience and has had an excellent experience. For complete information on how to apply, including full requirements, see the AAFP website.
