Two NCAFP Residents Selected for AAFP’s Emerging Leaders Institute

The AAFP Foundation’s competitive leadership development program has selected two residents from North Carolina to participate in the Family Medicine Leads’ Emerging Leader Institute. Brad Thompson, MD, Cone Health, and Rana Alkhaldi, MD, UNC, both rising second-year residents and are among the 30 scholars selected to participate in the program’s fifth cohort. Scholars will attend National Conference July 25–27 in Kansas City, MO, and then participate in workshops at the AAFP national headquarters through Sunday, July 28. The scholars will develop a post-conference project based upon their respective track with Project Award recipients returning to present at the 2020 National Conference.
