NCAFP’s first evening CME event proved wildly successful with a sellout event at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in Winston-Salem last night. Dr. Paul Martin discussed: “2019 Street Drugs: Do’s, Don’ts and Dupes.” The presentation discussed both prescription drug abuse and the numerous numbers of street drugs that family physicians should watch for with their patients. Fifty members attended the event, which also featured dinner and a short NCAFP Update by NCAFP President Dr. Alisa Nance and EVP Greg Griggs. Dr. Nance also visited two area practices with staff as part of the day’s events. NCAFP leaders hope to bring networking opportunities and CME directly to our members in their local communities. Look for a similar evening event in Wilmington in September, and a half-day event in Raleigh in October.
