Family Medicine notched another year of growth in this year’s Match, raising the total number of positions offered by 313 positions. The achievement marks a full decade of year-over-year growth for the specialty. Close to home, North Carolina’s residency programs had another strong year, with all community- and university-based programs filling 100% of their available slots which now total 120 incoming interns. And for in-state medical students, preliminary totals suggest more than 55% who Matched into the specialty will remain in-state for their training.
