Health is Primary Launches Updated Website

Three NCAFP Members Participating on National Tactics Teams

The new and improved HealthisPrimary.org website is now live! The new site is easy to navigate and allows visitors to view and share stories, access tools and resources, and become an active champion of primary care. As part of the website re-launch, the campaign has created a print and digital calendar that highlights a specific topic of the month in primary care. June’s focus is Fitness and Nutrition and draws on national Great Outdoors Month and National Men’s Health Week (June 12-18).

In news related to Family Medicine for America’s Health (FMAH), the initiative has begun to actively advocate to private insurers and self-insured plans to participate in CMS’s recently-announced Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) Program. Additionally, FMAH’s six core tactics teams include several members from the NCAFP, including Past President Dr. Karen Smith (Payment Core Team); Dr. Jewell Carr (Technology Core Team); and Dr. Viviana Martinez-Bianchi (Workforce Education & Development Core Team).

All three of these physicians are also participating on FMAH’s Cross-Tactic Team on Healthcare Disparities, with Dr. Martinez-Bianchi serving as team leader.
