Family Physicians Can Submit Comments to CMS on State Medicaid Reform Plan

North Carolina’s Medicaid reform proposal — officially called the 1115 Waiver Application — was formally submitted to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in early June. Family physicians and family medicine professionals interested in submitting public comments on the plan may do so via a simple web-based commenting system provided by CMS.

All comments are anonymous and are immediately posted in the public domain; there are over 90 comments submitted to date. The deadline for commenting is 11:00 PM EST on Wednesday, June 20th. The NCAFP plans to submit comments that will touch upon several core themes previously expressed to DHHS by chapter leaders; a copy of the chapter’s comment can be downloaded below.
