2010 Family Medicine Day is on May 22nd, in Durham

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 is a big day for North Carolina's university and community-based family medicine residency programs.The NCAFP and the NC Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) program will present 'Family Medicine Day 2010' at the Millennium Hotel in Durham, NC. This event brings together representatives of each family medicine residency program in NC and medical students interested in pursuing family medicine careers for skills training and recruiting. Attending students receive 4-hours of clinical skill building and then attend a full recruiting fair. NCAFP Past President Dr. Allen Dobson (1998) will be delivering the opening presentation and will talk about health care reform and what it means to family medicine and primary care. Any interested NCAFP member may attend to show your support for family medicine and to help our residencies recruit the best future family doctors.
