Programs OverviewListed below is information on the many member benefit programs NCAFP currently provides its members. If you need additional information, please contact our offices at (919) 833-2110 or via email at ncafp@ncafp.com CME & Professional Development -NCAFP holds major, multi-day CME meetings in Wilmington, Myrtle Beach and Asheville each year. We even present FrontLine, a series of quick, one-day seminars, across a number of locations in North Carolina. We also foster the development of tomorrow's future doctors in unique ways. Residents attend our annual Practice Management Conference and students participate in the NCAFP Residency Recruitment Fair. Pro-Active Advocacy & Lobbying -The Academy advocates at the state and national levels regarding issues like tort reform, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, malpractice premiums,and other issues affecting family doctors. We are constantly working to develop tools that strengthen the specialty. Day-to-Day Support -The Academy provides members with a complete helpdesk (Ask Us First) that provides answers on a range of topics that include practice management, human resource issues, and managed care. Plus, our new TOPS (Tools of Practice Success) program offers members valuable tools and information in a traditional or electronic format. Both programs offer you the support you need on a personalized basis. Exclusive ProgramsMembers of the NCAFP are entitled to participate in growing line of members-only services. Examples currently include the Wells Fargo Capital for Knowledge Program and the AskUsFirst Helpdesk. All are geared to be fast, easy and convenient. |
