Resident physicians of NCAFP are encouraged to become actively involved in the leadership of our association and the NCAFP values their input. The following residents are currently serving in active leadership roles
Dr. Howell is originally from Phoenix, AZ. She spent her undergraduate years at the University of Arizona, majoring in Exercise Physiology. She then attended and graduated from New York Medical College and is currently spending her residency at Moses Cone Family Medicine in Greensboro, NC. She has been an active member of the AAFP serving as FMIG regional and then National Coordinator as a medical student. She has presented to FMIG faculty advisors at the North East STFM meeting, and has been part of multiple presentations at the national conference in Kansas City. Shortly after starting residency, Dr. Howell was elected by her peers to serve as the Resident Member to the NCAFP Foundation's Board of Trustees. She now looks forward to serving her state in her new role as Resident Elect to the Board of Directors.
