ICARE to Co-Sponsor Integrated Care Symposium

The ICARE Partnership will co-sponsor MAHEC’s Third Annual Integrated Care Symposium, Two Worlds Unite, in Asheville, NC on Thursday, March 15, 2007. The day will begin with Daniel Ford, MD, MPH, Professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and his address on Lessons Learned About the Integration of Depression in Primary Care. Following Dr. Ford will be Colleen Barry, PhD, Assistant Professor at Yale University Division of Health Policy and Administration. Dr. Barry will speak on An Economic Perspective on Implementing Evidence-Based Depression Care. Included in the day’s events will be a networking lunch for behavioral health specialists and primary care providers. NCAFP is one of a number of specialty societies and other organizations involved in the ICARE Partnership and is leading Training and Technical Assistance efforts of this initiative. Cost of the conference is only $85 and phsyicians will receive 6 hours of AMA Category 1 continuing medical education credit.
