Free Mental Health Seminar - June 21, 2007

Objectives:

 At the completion of this program, participants will be able to: • Comprehend the community prevalence and risks of pediatric depression; • Recognize the limitations of available screening tools for pediatric depression; • Understand the pharmacological evidence base for effective antidepressant treatment of pediatric depression; and • Identify alternative, non-pharmacological treatments for pediatric depression.

Faculty: Richard E. D’Alli, M.D., is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Associate in Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center. He is Director of Clinical Services for the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Chief of the Division of Child Development and Behavioral Health in the Department of Pediatrics.

 This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 2 crdits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Of these credits, 1 conform to the AAFP criteria for evidence-based CME clinical content. CME credit has been incrased to reflect 2 for 1 credit for only the EB CME portion.
