Everyone had fun at the 2007 Silent Auction! Held in the Christmas-themed atrium outside the Exhibit Hall at The Grove Park Inn, members, exhibitors and guests who attended the Winter Family Physicians Weekend had fun bidding on the wide array of Silent Auction items. Bidding tables were decorated with items ranging from sports memorabilia and tickets, weekend getaways, handcrafted items, gift baskets, toys, and more. The Academy and Foundation boards, as well as members and exhibitors, donated items to the auction, which brought the Foundation approximately $6,300! We would like to extend a special "thank you" to our Silent Auction Sponsors - Carolinas HealthCare Foundation and Onslow Memorial Hospital (Platinum), Scotland Health Care System (Gold), and Lenoir Memorial Hospital and Mission Health and Hospitals (Silver). Thank you for your sponsorship of the auction and your support of Family Medicine! We'd also like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to Martini Print Media, Inc., who donated their services to produce the Silent Auction booklets. Marlene Rosol, Development Coordinator, organized the auction with skill and ease. A special thank you goes to Silent Auction Co-Chairs Dr. James G. Jones and Rudy L. Snow for their leadership.
