2014 DOT Medical Examiner Certification Seminars
Effective May 21, 2014, all health care professionals who perform physical examinations and issue medical certificates for interstate commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers will be required to complete an accredited certification training course and pass an examination. Medical examiners who complete the training and successfully pass the test are included in an online directory on the National Registry website.
After you complete the DOT seminar and receive your certification, you will need to locate a testing center near you and schedule your exam. Please visit the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners at https://nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov. This website is also a very helpful resource center for other questions you may have.
