Medicare payment – and its impending rate cut - is on the radar again. Unless Congress fixes the sustainable growth-rate (SGR formula), family physicians face a 21.2% cut when the current Medicare payment formula expires on February 28th. The AAFP and NCAFP are encouraging all NC members to contact Senators Hagan and Burr about supporting intervention. To help this cause, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) has made their toll-free legislative hotline available to all family physicians.
