Dr. Katherine Bray-Strickland, a first-year resident at the ECU Family Medicine Residency Program, passed away on February 10 after a 5-year struggle with cancer. Dr. Bray-Strickland obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from NC-Asheville and graduated medical school from ECU in 2009. She was honored by the ECU Family Medicine Interest Group last year for her courage and dedication to family medicine. Dr. Bray-Strickland’s parents are Paul and Dr. Emily Bray, a family physician currently practicing in Greenville, NC. The Academy wishes to extend the Bray-Strickland and Bray families sincerest condolences.
