The NCAFP and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation held a joint press conference announcing the Family Medicine Interest and Scholars Program on June 2, 2010, in Raleigh. The conference took place at the office of Past President Dr. Conrad L. Flick (2004).

The NCAFP and the NC AHEC Program hosted its fourth-annual Family Medicine Day on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the Millennium Hotel in Durham, NC. The event attracted 46 medical student attendees, fifteen residency programs, student leaders from NC's family medicine interest groups, and residency coordinators from across the state.
