Dr. Thomas White of Cherryville Installed as President of State Association of Family Physicians

RALEIGH (12-11-14) – Dr. Thomas R. White, a family physician from Cherryville, N.C., was installed as President of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, Inc. (NCAFP) on December 6th in Asheville. The NCAFP is North Carolina's largest state-based specialty medical association, representing over 3,700 family physicians, physicians-in-training, and medical students across the state. Dr. White will be serving a one-year term.

East Carolina University Names New Family Medicine Department Chair

Effective next week, the East Carolina University Department of Family Medicine will have a new chair: Chelley Kaye Alexander, MD. Dr. Alexander is succeeding Dr. Kenneth Steinweg, ECU Family Medicine's department chair since 2009.
